Amersfoort Jazz is a Next Generation festival, presenting young and talented World Jazz musicians from The Netherlands and abroad. Amersfoort Jazz supports young artists of drive and ambition, to distinguish themselves and leave fresh marks on the world.

Dutch Conservatory Challenge
Dutch conservatories from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Arnhem/Zwolle/Enschede and Utrecht, endorse their master degree students to the festival Amersfoort Jazz 2020.
Amersfoort Jazz inspires the Next Generation to perform out of the box, to meet other musicians one stage and behind the scenes, often legendary masters – who are happy to share their experience and knowledge. Amersfoort Jazz connects the Next Generation to a network of invited World Jazz organizations and festival directors from all over the world. By supporting the Next Generation, Amersfoort Jazz aims for the a sustainable development of exceptional talent, to improve the international eco-system of professional world jazz, to keep improvised music at the highest level possible – now and in the future.
