Selfmade man Toine Scholten is not someone to pigeonhole. On the one hand, he’s an endearing singer songwriter, on the other, he’s a wildly energetic guitarist with a talent for dexterous jazz licks and raw blues chops. Somehow, he manages to marry the two concepts, and charm audiences while he’s at it; Dutch saxophone star Candy Dulfer loves him and calls him “a multitalented musician with soul and a ton of passion!”
The authentic singer and guitarist just released his debut, mixing subtle jazz with funk and pop and sporting a grand lineup of big Dutch fusion names.
