Polish saxophonist and band leader Sylwester Ostrowski presents The Jazz Brigade; a
swinging cocktail of bop for the streets, a brand of original, fresh jazz that wants to get under
your skin and brighten your day. Founded with longtime friend and Count Basie Orchestra
trumpeter Freddie Hendrix, their group is joined by rising star Jakub ‘Mizer’ Mizeracki on
guitar, Japanese-American Grammy nominee Miki Hayama on piano and renowned groove
machine Owen Hart Jr on Drums, it would seem Ostrowski defends his reputation as a band
leader with a nose for the best people you may not have heard of yet – but should have. As if
that’s not enough, Art Blakey bassist Essiet Okon Essiet completes The Jazz Brigade.
