Steven Brezet was still quite young when he started an apprenticeship with the Senegalese percussionist Aly Ndiaye Rose. He traveled the world, expanded his stylistic knowledge, and got inspired by the rhythms and instruments of the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America.
Blending these sounds with jazz, funk, and salsa, he has been bringing his unique approach to music to much-loved festival bands such as Gallowstreet and Koffie, attracting attention from greats such as Snarky Puppy and Salvador da Bahia. Recently, Brezet signed with Circle 9 Records in New York.
