Nicknamed Massi by his friends, Sam Raaijmakers decided to stick to it when bringing his gang of musicians together. Winning the Grand Prize of the Netherlands and performing at the famous traveling festival Popronde, the deep, lonely pit of covid lockdowns followed. It would end up inspiring him to compose his debut album, Samen Alleen (“Together Alone”, 2021) and the EP Het Is Maar Een Droom (“It’s but a dream,” 2022).
