What were you doing in 2018? Well, in November of that year, the Loek van den Berg Quintet was born. Throughout the years, the group developed a unique style and sound, firmly built on Van den Berg’s melodic compositions and each member’s creative approach to improvisation.
At Amersfoort World Jazz Festival, they present their debut album Wayfarer; musical storytelling inspired by Van den Berg’s travels and the fascinating landscapes and musical cultures he encountered.
