Keorapetse Kolwane was introduced to the art of singing by her grandmother. After graduation, she aimed for her projects to support and increase social cohesion whilst making use of arts, culture and heritage as a medium.
In 2015, she was invited to perform at the annual Grahamstown National Youth Jazz Festival, then at Grahamstown National Arts Festival, and finally, the prestigious Joy of Jazz Festival. In 2019, she collaborated with saxophonist Ernest Dawkings (USA) and won the SAMRO International Scholarship for Singers Competition in the same year, touring the United States, Norway and Egypt.
