If you’ve not heard the name Anne Chris before, you’ve surely heard of her band members; performing and leading alongside Tineke Postma, Marcus Olgers and Ruud Breuls she graced the stages of North Sea Jazz Festival, Bimhuis, Carré and the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. The singer, influenced by jazz, pop, soul and Latin, continued to make waves around the world and toured Belgium, Italy, Germany, Morocco, Turkey, Thailand and India, and worked with the likes of Youp van ‘t Hek, Malando Orchestra and The European Jazz Quintet.
If that’s not enough to excite you about her upcoming release, then we don’t know what else you’d need, but we can tell you it’ll be special; among others, it features her father, a composer and guitarist in his own right.
