The pub crawl on Friday has been a regular part of Amersfoort Jazz for many years. With the support of the Stichting Ondernemers Amersfoortse Binnenstad (SOAB), the hospitality industry is resurrecting the pub crawl this year. This year, various locations are participating in the pub crawl that will be held on Friday 18 August.

South African singer Ratombo possesses a voice that weaves effortlessly through melodies and captivates audiences with her soulful interpretations and impeccable vocal command. Thapelo Khumisic is a masterful pianist, known for his virtuoso skills and improvisations. They will play as a duo at Marktzicht tonight, but undoubtedly some musical friends will come along to join.

The work of The Newts is peppered with jazz influences, but is effortlessly mixed with electro, funk, balkan beats, dance and west coast. Analogue sythesizers, horns, electro sounds and fat solos determine the sound of instrumental pieces, while they sometimes suddenly dive into the pop corner.

The Marcia Bamberg Swing Quartet consists of four passionate musicians with a great love for Gipsy Jazz. Accompanied by John Ligthart and Ronald Weel on guitar and Daniël Gueli on double bass, Marcia Bamberg sings the most beautiful French and English Gipsy Jazz songs. Inspired by the great master and also founder of the Gipsy Jazz Django Reinhardt, you will imagine yourself on a sunny terrace in Paris during this performance!

The repertoire of this Amersfoort jazz trio is diverse, but the main emphasis is on playing the ‘Hot Club de France idiom’ in the style of the legendary Django Rheinhardt and Stephanie Grappelli with the typical line-up of violin, guitar and double bass.

In addition, they play bossa novas, swing, mainstream, jazz standards and ballads. The violin is alternated with the accordion and a number of vocal songs are also performed.

Future Husband is Dutch-Nigerian singer-songwriter Adura Sulaiman, accompanied by her bandmates Thomas Bosveld (drums), Ivar Otten (guitar/vocals), Kike Zwagerman (guitar) and Twan de Roo (keys). Her personal thoughts are provided in her lyrics with grand cinematic instrumentation and soundscapes. Her tenderly sung vocals intertwine guitars, acoustic drums, bass and synths.
