The 21-year-old alto saxophonist Femke Mooren has been chosen as our Exceptional Endorsed Talent this year. With her Femke Mooren Quartet, she won the first prize during the national final of the Prinses Christina Jazz Concours in 2023. Currently she is playing in the Nationaal Jeugd Jazz Orchestra. As our Exceptional Endorsed Talent, Femke will perform at the festival with her Femke Moore Quartet, but will also be challenged to present herself in multiple new settings.

“Summarizing my own music is narrative, contemporary jazz. I feel like I can tell something with my music, and I’m developing a lot,” Femke told us in a short interview earlier this year.
